Diabetes Drugs
The disorder that affects the way your body uses food for energy is commonly known as Diabetes. The sugar we take in, is digested and broken down into a simple sugar, which is known as glucose. Glucose then disseminates in our blood where it waits to enter cells to be used as fuel. Pancreas produce a hormone called as insulin, which helps to move the glucose into cells. Based on the level of glucose a healthy pancreas adjusts the amount of insulin in our body but if this process breaks down then blood sugar levels become too high and you will be suffer with the diseases like diabetes. Then you need to take the diabetes drugs. There are mainly two type of diabetes as Type 1and Type 2. Patient with Type 1 diabetes are completely unable to produce insulin, while Patient with Type 2 diabetes can produce insulin, but their cells does not respond to it. In both the cases, glucose cannot move into the cells and blood glucose levels can become high. As the glucose level becomes too high, these high glucose levels can cause serious complications. In the Pre-Diabetes stage the cells in our body are becoming resistant to insulin or our pancreas is not producing as much insulin as we need. Pre-diabetes is a sign that diabetes will develop later.
The symptoms of type 1 diabetes develop quickly, over weeks or even days. The main symptoms of diabetes are feeling very thirsty, producing excessive amounts of urine, tiredness, and weight loss and muscle wasting (loss of muscle bulk). Some Other symptoms are blurred vision (caused by the lens of your eye becoming very dry), cramps, constipation, and skin infections. In the case of type 2 diabetes, the symptoms usually develop over weeks or months, and that is the reason people do not realize that they are unwell for some time. With the above symptoms, type 2 diabetes has additional symptoms such as if you have any sores, cuts or injuries then they may take longer to heal. Sometimes it is also possible to develop the type 2 diabetes without having any symptoms at all, or only having a few symptoms. So in such conditions go to your doctor and take the Diabetes Drugs with the suggested precautions.
Diabetes should be identifying as early as possible so that treatment can be started. At any point of time if you notice any symptoms then you should consult to a doctor as soon as possible. As we know diabetes cannot be cured, but you can keep your blood glucose levels normal with a proper precautions and by taking the diabetes drugs as per your doctor advice. People having this disease should not smoke as it causes a very high risk of having a heart attack or stroke. The best way to control this is with diet and exercise. If this does not work then there are many drugs available in the market. Some of those drugs used to treat diabetes are Amaryl, Actos, Avandia, Glucotrol, Glucovance, Metformin, Byetta, Avandamet, and Glyburide etc. Amaryl is used to force pancreas to increase the insulin production by which your body can use glucose more efficiently. Actos makes your body's insulin stronger & effective. Avandamet should not be taken by the people who have sick kidneys as it contains Metformin which stop producing excess of glucose in your lever. Byetta is a synthetic hormone which stimulates insulin emission in response to blood glucose levels. Diabetes correlate with serious complications which causes premature death, so people with diabetes should take steps to control the disease and lower the risk of complications.
